Use your career site to post your job ads

When you post an offer on job boards from Nicoka, candidates who want to apply are redirected by default to the offer page on your Nicoka career site. If your offers are published on your own website, you can redirect candidates to the offer page on your website instead. Here is the procedure.

1. Prerequisites: the API integration

Your website must be connected to Nicoka through the API: it retrieves the offers from Nicoka and sends the applications back to your Nicoka workspace. This integration is done by the person who manages your website (your webmaster), based on the API documentation: https://api.nicoka.com/.

The endpoints to use:

  • /jobs: retrieves the job offers of your Nicoka workspace;
  • /jobs/apply: creates the candidate's application to the offer, directly in your Nicoka workspace;
  • /jobs/openApplicationApply: creates an open application (optional, if your website offers one).

Both application endpoints only accept form submissions (POST method).

2. The address of each offer on your website

To redirect candidates, Nicoka automatically rebuilds the address of each offer on your website, from an address pattern specific to your website. This way, each ad posted on a job board points to the right page.

For each address to match a single offer, it must contain at least one unique and stable identifier of the offer:

  • the unique identifier of the job (uid): a value generated automatically by Nicoka, always unique;
  • the job identifier (id): the internal number of the job in Nicoka;
  • the job reference (reference): the code you enter yourself on the job, provided it is unique.

The job label can complete the address, but it is not enough on its own: two offers can have the same label, and a label can change.

Example: https://www.my-domain.com/jobs/1234-project-manager, where 1234 is the job identifier.

3. Contact support

Once the API integration is complete, contact the support team at support@nicoka.com and tell them the address of the offers on your website and how it is built. Support sets the address pattern of your workspace and turns on the redirection to your website; you can then post your offers.
